Judges
Michigan Odyssey of the Mind Forms & Info
The Odyssey of the Mind (OotM) judge is an essential part of the ALL volunteer staff that makes an OotM tournament a success. Judges can be parents, teachers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, neighbors, or anyone who has a love for children. Teams work many months on their long-term problem solutions and practice long hours to solve spontaneous problems.
Each Odyssey of the Mind team is required to provide one trained judge for their tournament. No experience is necessary to be an Odyssey of the mind judge and free online, virtual training is provided.
In order to judge, you must:
- Be out of high school
- Attend one of the mandatory Judges Training (VIRTUAL & approximately 1-2 hours)
Monday, January 24th @ 7:00 pm or Saturday, January 29th @ 9:00 am
- Serve on a judging team at the Region 1 Tournament on February 5, 2022
- Serve on a judging team at State Finals on March 12, 2022 should your team advance
Once you have registered to judge, please keep an eye on your email. Your Regional Director will contact you with details of your judging assignment and reminders of Judges Training dates.
